Challenge accepted

makeawishThis morning, my amazing upline posted a challenge to our group page on Facebook.  The challenge was… Stamp!  LOL.  There’s 9 more challenges, I hope I can keep up as I am sure they will get harder and harder as time goes on…

Anyway, I ran downstairs to my craft room and stamped this little beauty.  NOW that the Occasion’s Catalog is out, I can post links again for you for the supplies.

This card uses the Window Shopping Bundle and some of the Falling in Love Suite.  Now the Window Shopping Bundle is meant for a box. I was trying to think OUTSIDE the box…. LOL. Maybe in the next day or two, I will actually use the box for the box! Wait. huh? That didn’t make sense, did it? Anyway…. I have to try and pull myself away from this color scheme!  I just can’t! But I promise to try in my next post!! hehehehe

Another Convention Make ‘n Take

Yes, believe it or not, I did make a few more make ‘n takes this week in my frenzy of creating (I still have a few more to go)!  In this one, we took a “flat” bag and turned it into a gusseted bag!  All it takes are 3 score lines!  Brilliant!!  I like the way this came out!  I wrapped the ribbon around the flap of the bag, since you have to adhere the ribbon to the bag.  If you wrap the ribbon around the entire bag, you wouldn’t be able to open it!  Anyway, I liked the way it came out!

Just a few words about the stamp set used here!  Tag It is this year’s Ronald McDonald House Charities set.  For every set purchased, Stampin’ Up! donates $3 per set!  This year’s set works with the Chalk Talk Framelits Dies!!  What could be better? You donate to a great cause, you get a great multi-event stamp set and you can use the framelits with it!  Win-win in my book!!

MDS Fun!

So, what do you do with pictures that you find from a LONG time ago?? Scrapbook them and show them to the world!  That’s exactly what I did today!  I found these fun pictures of me and my best friend.  Now, they were archived on my phone somehow and when I saw them, I just knew I had to play with them.  So, here is my round three of “Goofy.”  This was a one page layout and it turned into 3 pages, so I am thinking that it’s going to end up a full album as I found some GREAT pics of my kids too!

This page is dedicated to my BFF, Kimberly.  You are my hero!  Always! All right, enough mushy! LOL!

Northern Lights Technique

Hi!  I wanted to share this card.  Normally, I NEVER post club projects.  I feel like these projects are especially created and shouldn’t be posted.  Well, I am making an exception this time.  This technique was spotted by someone in our stamping team at Convention.  Then, it went viral in our group and everyone was posting their version of it.  This isn’t my “original version” of it either.  I made this one for a friend.

While another demonstrator outside of our group has posted a video on how it’s done, I wanted to add my two cents to this. I changed a couple of the colors she used… then, I stamped my trees in VersaMark.  Then I mixed Iridescent Ice and Black Embossing powder and heated it up.  I think it makes the trees not only pop more but sparkle to boot! I also used the new Chalk Marker to make the stars!  What do you think??

Updated September 4th, 2013!  Guess what??  I made a video!

Playing with MDS… Again!

Earlier, I told you that MDS has become an obsession again!  It’s so easy to just open a program and have all of your stamping supplies right there!!  To clean up my mess, I only have to close the program! LOL!!  Today is a rainy day in Colorado Springs.  It’s actually hailing and thunder-storming pretty loudly.  I back-up my work quite often so I’m not to worried about losing my stuff! LOL

This layout uses the following downloads:

While I didn’t use a photobook template for this page, I did use a BUNCH of the products that comes with it, DSP, stamps, embellishments, etc.  This page is of me and my three roommates!  We had an awesome time at Convention.  I can’t imagine spending my time without these fabulous ladies!  (Though, I would probably skip the clothes shopping part, if I could!)
