Well, I couldn’t let this day go by without doing a card. It’s just for you! It will never be used or needed again. I just wanted to make something for anyone reading the blog today. It is with sincere gratitude for your viewing my page that I made this card especially for you!
This is a combination of Holiday Catalog (The tassles), the new Occasions Catalog (Beautiful You stamp set and the mini paper clips) AND the Annual Catalog (Large Numbers Framelits and Window Sheets, and well… everything else…. LOL) I love being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator!
Have a safe, healthy, prosperous New Year! May your belly never be empty, may your heart always be full! Virtual Hugs to you all!
So, the last time I posted, I showed you a card, inspired by the Holiday Catalog, where I cut out the presents. Remember? Well today, I am going to share with you 2 cards using old DSP. Check out this one…. Now, the Santa image came from Designer Series Paper from a couple of years ago. Maybe last year. Not sure! LOL
I did use Holly Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and Greetings from Santa stamp set as far as current product is concerned. The ribbon is on sale right now!! Don’t miss out on that deal!
Here’s the next card. The Rudolf image came from the same DSP pack as the Santa image in the above. I also used some retired Washi Tape. The sentiment also came from the Greetings from Santa stamp set. I think this card came out cute too! What do you think?
So, I am frantically making Christmas cards today. I have 3 completely done and one ready to be finished. Here’s the first one. This one uses the Presents and Pinecones DSP and the Christmas Pines stamp set – only for the sentiment. Yes, I actually cut out 6 presents and arranged them on the Whisper White Cardstock. Now, if you know me at all, you will remember that I HATE to cut things out. Guess what? Once I started, I couldn’t stop. *sigh* I got the inspiration for this card in the Holiday Catalog!
I made two more cards today using retired paper. Those cards…. both have cut out images! UGH!!! What was I thinking?? hehehe All in all, this card turned out pretty cute, I think!

So, I was working on an order. After completing a sample, I sent the client a picture of it. There was a color change on it. So, I made another sample and sent it to her. The tag was approved and I started to work on the tag. I then said something out loud; have you ever done this? “I wonder what would happen if….” Usually this statement ends in disaster and I have to go back and fix what I messed up. BUT NOT THIS TIME! *insert maniacal laughter here*
Did you know that you can sponge around Glimmer paper? It may not be something you would need or want to do. But it sure does add some beauty!
You just never know what’s going to happen until you complete the project. I should have taken a better picture of this tag but here’s what it is: Nothing too terribly fancy. It’s an ornament cut from Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper, a scalloped circle and the company’s logo (part of it anyway). Each layer popped up on Dimensionals. Each white layer sponged with Night of Navy ink. They came out pretty snazzy, I think!

So, this isn’t really a Christmas card…. well, yeah it kind of is… Ok. So my guy’s son is fondly known as the “Chicken Whisperer” because of his love of chickens. Here’s the back story: My neighbor next door had chickens and once in a while the chickens would come over to my house and hang out. The “Chicken Whisperer” would pick up the chickens, pet them, talk to them, give them water, and such. So, this Christmas card was made just for him. I think he will get a kick out of it.
This card uses a NEW Sale-a-bration set called, “Hey, Chick.” It’s super cute! I used a lot of the Candy Cane Lane items, the DSP, the ribbon and the color scheme in order to make this more of a Christmas card. Sometimes, a Christmas card doesn’t have to be a Christmas card. In the case of the Chicken Whisperer, I think this one will work! hehehe. I used the new watercolor pencils to color the images and background (might be hard to see but there is a green “grass” and a blue sky)
Sometimes, when I stamp, my brain’s not all there. I have started storing my thinlets with my stamp sets. It’s great! I pull a set and VOILA! everything is right there. Ok, so either I am having a senior moment (no, i am NOT that old), or a blonde moment (no, I am NOT blonde), or a brain fart (yeah, probably that) or what – but I ran my Elegant Eggplant cardstock through with two of the dies and was shocked at my results.
Yeah, so I couldn’t understand why two of the pieces were exactly the same size. I looked again and… well, duh! One is embossed and one isn’t. Oh what ever shall I do??? You guessed it. Make 2 cards! I used the exact same sort of layout. The same colors and well, the results, in my humble opinion, are beautiful!! Elegant Eggplant is such a Regal color. It’s probably my favorite Stampin’ Up! color of all time!
So, I tend to send my niece a picture of whatever I make. She ordered 6 cards! 3 of each design! WOW!! Just like that! So. I have to ask you. Which one do you like best?? Merry Christmas or Star of Night. Please comment below!!
