Gifts Galore

Well, my good friend, Lorinda is moving.  This makes me very very sad. However, I couldn’t let this event go past without giving her a gift.  This was a fun one to create.  It’s a Tea Lace Paper Doily with a punch of DSP, some ribbon, a sentiment and a few embellishments.  One of which is a safety pin.  It’s how I got the doily to stick to the bag!  What’s inside the bag?  Lorinda’s favorite:  Stale (yes, stale) Peppermint Patties!  What can I say?  It’s her favorite!

Good morning (if it is still morning where you are)!  So, I decided to do another “challenge.”  This time, I recreated a Mojo Monday layout!  My epiphany came when I thought about the stretch trim.  Why not use it as trim?  Brilliant! (hahaha)  I texturized the center circle with Stylish Stripes then inked them up a little with Whisper White Craft ink… Now that I sit here, I should have used Silver Encore!  Oh well!

Stunning CASE’d Card

I CASE’d (Copy And Share Everything) a card from Shelli Gardner (she’s the CEO of Stampin’ Up!) today.  This card was a lot of work.  I am pretty sure I did things that they didn’t (I know I colored the whole butterfly) but since I didn’t hold the card, to see exactly what they did, I used my instincts.  I have to say, I LOVE this card; hard work and all! Yes, it has EVERYTHING to do with the butterflies!!

What you may not be able to tell is that this card is a “pop up” card.  Meaning, every time you open the card, the butterfly wing opens!  The middle picture shows it best.  This card uses a lot of stamp sets and supplies.  It’s definitely a “special occasion” type card!  I watercolored with Blender Pens and Ink Pads to color the butterflies.  I also “spritzed” with an aqua painter and ink refills.

Playing with MDS… Again!

Earlier, I told you that MDS has become an obsession again!  It’s so easy to just open a program and have all of your stamping supplies right there!!  To clean up my mess, I only have to close the program! LOL!!  Today is a rainy day in Colorado Springs.  It’s actually hailing and thunder-storming pretty loudly.  I back-up my work quite often so I’m not to worried about losing my stuff! LOL

This layout uses the following downloads:

While I didn’t use a photobook template for this page, I did use a BUNCH of the products that comes with it, DSP, stamps, embellishments, etc.  This page is of me and my three roommates!  We had an awesome time at Convention.  I can’t imagine spending my time without these fabulous ladies!  (Though, I would probably skip the clothes shopping part, if I could!)

MDS Scrapbook Layout

When MDS (My Digital Studio) first came out, I was addicted.  Unfortunately, my addiction ended due to time constraints.  However, my addiction has returned!  I have been trying to play with it as often as I can.  I tend to focus my scrapbook layouts on things like my children and trips that I have taken.  Well, today, I decided to do a layout on me!  This is the silly side of me!

Yes, I can be a silly girl; much more often than not!  MDS is the best software on the market, in my humble opinion.  I have used others but this one is the best!!  This layout uses a variety of different downloads.  Some of which are very recent downloads!
