I am really not sure what to call this project! It’s a cross between a card and a 3D item. I wanted to say that I am sorry I haven’t been posting much. Preparing for a craft fair can be a LOT of work (what do I mean by can? Ok… I mean it IS a lot of work). I love it though!! Anyway, I saw something on Pinterest and made it my own. The reason why I say I made it my own is that I am VERY sure that the crafter that created her project didn’t use this tool to make it:
This is a sheet metal rivet gun. It can create any size hole you want as it has a separate tool box with different hole punches and setters (for the rivets)! Think of it like a Crop-A-Dile with a longer reach! Where did I get this beauty? My father-in-law gave this to me a long time ago. He was a sheet metal mechanic. I mentioned to him that I needed to punch holes (this must have been before Stampin’ Up! had their Crop-A-Dile) through layers of paper. He hands me this rivet gun! I must admit, I didn’t use it much since Stampin’ Up! came out with the Crop-A-Dile – a tool they no longer sell. However, this particular project needs a LONGER reach.
Are you ready to see what I have been working on?? Have I chattered long enough?? *giggle* Ok ok… here it is!
I think this is a great gift for any coffee lover. It serves two purposes. Give them what they want – COFFEE!! (Can you tell I am a coffee lover?) And send them some Christmas greetings!!
